woooooooooooooooooooo.

I'm a fucking quarter. the birthday was good. I planned to work all day because my Mom couldn't come down and I didn't really care about the actual day since she wasn't gonna be here, but I made a good amount in the morning,so I decided to take the night off. I got a barrage of texts and calls while I was working...which made my day. I got home and decided to round up some folks for an impromptu dinner/drink session since I was heading back to town to pick up my bday cake that my friend Irma made me. Stewart and Seth were at Fridays already (it was Seth's bday too) so me and my friend Jessica met them there..Sunley and Seth's brother Ryan were there when we got there too. Stewart bought me a jack and diet, and we all hung out for a bit before the boys left to go play poker..so me and Jess stuck around a bit longer and chatted, then I headed over to Stewarts to hang with the boys..I thought it'd be the 4 boys from the bar..maybe Stewarts roommate...I get to the house and the driveway and street was FULL OF CARS...so I walk in and HELLOO...12 dudes sitting around a table...i knew 8 out of 12...so not too bad..but it was funny..i just sat, drank, and watched the game...

saturday Shawna gave me my presents: some goodies from the Hustler store (hehehehe), Sam I Am socks, an Andy Warhol 'Elvis' wallet and a present that is on the way: THE ELVIS FASHION BOOK I SAW AT GRACELAND!!!! I can't WAIT to get it and read it and see all the pictures!!! weeeeeeeee!!!!! I attempted to mow the lawn, but the mower ran out of gas so I took a break..shawna and I went to mellow mushroom for lunch, ben and jerrys for an ice cream cone, and came home to rest up before The Great Affairs...who were fucking awesome. I am so so proud of those guys..the new stuff is coming together quite nicely..they worked up Dance Alone..which is one of my FAVORITE songs from Denny's solo stuff and it sounded fucking phenomenal!! The place was packed, which made me proud. Saw Cody...wished me a happy birthday and gave me a hug. It was nice. I miss him...So TGA finished and we bolted. I was in bed and asleep by midnight, which was nice because I was f'n exhausted.

worked open to close today...150 bucks and it all goes to my ticket that I gotta pay tomorrow and turning my phone back on.

tomorrow night the Sex Slaves arrive..they'll be with us until Friday morning...I'm so excited to have more houseguests...and to get to hang with the guys!! Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday we'll get to see em play, and next Friday we're hitting Toledo to see them for the last time before they make their way to Europe....gonna take tons of pictures and enjoy the week with my NYC lovelies!!!!

I'm moving in with Shawna Saturday :)

Lovely house, fenced in back yard (double lot), hardwood floors, CLAWFOOT TUB, gorgeous front porch with a swing, detached garage...perfection.

I'm very excited..oh to decorate..AND to purge...getting rid of almost everything..staring fresh.

New chapter, clean slate... To quote my boys: "I see a world, full of possibilities"

Whew. I am still wiped out from the Carolinas trip. Worn out and heavy hearted, as I miss LeAnn something awful,as well as the Slaves, and good ol Wednesday.

We set out for Anderson and made record time indeed (because I have a speeding problem), even with Shawna requesting a drive by of campers, a stop for gas, and a 35 minute clusterfuck on 285 in Atlanta (Atl I love you, but DAMN none of you can drive!!haha)..we arrived in Anderson and were greeted by LeAnn before we even turned off the engine :) took a quick tour of LeAnn's FABULOUS apartment, hit Walmart for some last minute items, and hit the road again, Charlotte bound.

Found the venue in Charlotte...it was a little scary lookin' and I'll admit I felt bad for dragging the two fine dates I had all the way Charlotte for what looked to be a teeny tiny shithole...but we found a hotel that was close and affordable..as well as free of hookers, transients, and druggies (thank goodness)...eric texted me to see if we made and asked if we were getting food and if so could he tag along..so we swung by the venue and grabbed him, then took the man to a fine dinner at McDonalds. ;) haha. Dropped him off and headed back to our hotel to get dolled up...and boy did we. I truly believe we out did ourselves ladies!!

We arrived, signed in (yeah, you had to sign in at this bar..I signed in as jailbait, heh heh) and I spotted Del (bassist/singer) and ran over and gave him a good hello/good to see ya whack..he was completely surprised..guess e didn't tell him we were coming! While chatting with Del I got a tap on my arm..and I turned to see my buddy Wednesday sitting at the bar :) It was so good to see W ! Had a purdy new hair cut and color, and wouldn't ya know it..the boy grew some eyebrows. No wonder I didn't recognize him! Found Jay (drummer) and Wentl (roadie extraordinaire) and said hello, then the ladies and I relaxed with some adult beverages while the last band wrapped up. Took some lovely pics with W and his driver, Darcy (hair stylist superstar) then headed up to the stage.

The set was killer. New songs, old songs, Eric singing, Del singing, lots of banter, beer, and dirty dancing. Bought the boys all Jack Daniels shots during 'Thank God for Jack Daniels' ...and pummeled my way through the crowd (all the while recieving dirty looks) to deliver them..haha..sorry folks, but when I'm coming through with a hand ful of Jack Daniels shots for my friends, get the hell outta my way!!!

Went back to the hotel and crashed. Dennys for breakfast the next day, rode back to LeAnns, hit the pool, ordered pizza, did some shopping, hung out with Jamie and Brenton, broke into the pool at midnight, and again CRASHED. Woke up, had lunch at O'Charleys where we gorged ourselves, then me LeAnn's mama and stepdad, who were just lovely folks....as well as the adorable Chong (who we wanted to steal!!) ..went back to LeAnns and loaded up, said our goodbyes...reluctantly because we didn't wanna go :( and hit the bricks. Again: record time..I drive like a ba outta hell, Nascar aint got shit on this girl.

I miss LeAnn too much for words. Girl, I will be back!! We'll hit more Slaves shows.... and Wednesday shows at that!!! I can't wait to see ya at our housewarming, thank you for your hospitality, and for being fucking awesome. Love YOU!!!!!

Graceland was amazing!! I had never been, and got to see EVERYTHING!! House, cars, planes, movie museum, GI exhibit...truly spectacular and overwhelming. The house was cool, and strange to be in..weird knowing that Elvis lived in those rooms, raised Lisa there, etc...he walked and stood in the same halls and rooms I was in...very surreal, and a little overwhelming. Looking up the stairs was eerie, it felt like someone was up there...then again there are business offices so there probably WERE people up there, but still...its a strange feeling. The trophy house and raquetball house were extraordinary. I saw my first Grammy awards in person...got to practically press my face to the glass case and inspect Elvis' gold suit, which was just amazing to see up close. His clothes and stage get ups were so amazing to see up close...his black leather outfit from the '68 Comeback Special? Fuggin SEXY even on a mannequin, I can only imagine seeing the King in it... YOWZA! Two of his outfits were accompanied by the designers' illustrations which was cool for me, I loved seeing the beginning idea and end piece together...kinda magical for a design enthusiast ;) I have to say though, Priscilla's wedding dress is HIDEOUS, time period or not, it was tacky...I did however dig his paisley suit he wore for the wedding. Like I told Shawna, the man had taste...I can't say one way or the other whether it was good or bad but he definitely had it, and it was all his own. You have to respect that. The meditation garden was an experience. It was sad, obviously grave sites are not happy, fun places to be, but it was just powerful to stand there and pay my respects to The King of Rock n Roll and his family, and throw a penny in his fountain and make a wish. Its one of those things I'll remember the rest of my life...my first time in the presence of the King..I am sure I'll go back. I think Elvis week would be fun to do...if not emotional..anyway, we wrote on the wall outside the gates, I put a fORMER sticker on the traffic pole in front of the gates, we took our pictures in front of the gates and the wall..the grounds were just amazing.
We also saw the Lisa Marie, Elvis' AIRPLANE!! Again- so weird to be in such a confined space knowing Elvis had once been there. It was a pimp plane..lounge, conference room, bedroom, two bathrooms, one private, closets..I leaned over Elvis' BED people.. W O W !!
The GI exhibit was so wonderful, it had his uniforms from his time in the service, and information ab his time serving, jobs, ranks, etc. Really, really cool...my favorite Elvis look is his GI time frame..gotta love a man in uniform!
The car museum was rad, I drooled over every car in the joint..Elvis was such a pimp! I also was a little overwhelmed in the car museum...they have the car that Elvis drove the morning he died, on display with the door OPEN..I don't know if its because the door was ajar, like hed left it open and no one had shut it, or just because it was another one of the last things hed been in/touched, but my eyes welled up immediately...so much emotion in a few short hours..seeing his whole life (mostly) in one day..he did so much, could have done so much more. He truly was a star, in every sense of the word with every fiber of his being. I don't know if there will ever be anyone quite like Elvis...long live da King.

A friend of mine is finishing up a U.S. tour and is heading to Japan for an 8 day mini tour this weekend, so I sent him a text to say hope tour is going well, and to send me a postcard from Japan, haha. Well I woke up this morning with a text waiting, it said "thank u so much!! I'm kinda nervous, so I appreciate the well wishes."

How cute is that? Even big, tattoed, tough rock dudes get nervous :o) regardless, he and the band will do great I'm sure....they'll be HUGE in Japan haha.

Hope everyone has an awesome Thursday...I have my first guitar lesson with my friend Corey tonight, cross yer fingers that I'm a natural and can shred like Slash!!!!
